Financial Aid at Brewster

Each year, approximately one third of Brewster students receive support to attend Brewster. Your gift to the Annual Fund in support of financial aid makes an immediate and long-lasting difference for students. Just ask Grace Cawley '15:

"When I arrived for my freshman year at Brewster, I jumped right in. I enjoyed the frigid waters of Lake Winnipesaukee on Wednesday mornings with the Polar Bear Club, learned Environmental Science and Calculus, participated as an active member on the athletic teams at Brewster, and I even had my share of participating in some of the winter musicals. I was a tour guide and a proctor and I made friends from all over the world!

My amazing Brewster experience almost came to an abrupt stop when one of my parents lost their job. It looked as though finishing my senior year at Brewster might not be possible. I was devastated, and my parents were too. My mom refused to allow this to happen. She explained the situation to the Brewster administration, and they were more then happy to help. I was granted a scholarship that helped to ease my parent’s financial struggle, and allowed me for one last year, to grow and to learn, and receive a diploma alongside the group of students and faculty that I had begun to see as family. For this I am forever grateful to all of those who come together to make scholarships available for students.

Without generous donations from supporters of Brewster Academy, many students would not be able to attend this amazing school. Financial Aid is more than just money to the students and families that receive it. It’s an amazing opportunity to join a community that will develop a student into an individual who is ready to conquer the world after high school.

I firmly believe that no matter what struggles someone may face, they deserve that opportunity. Scholarships open up amazing opportunities, for amazing students. I am always thankful for what my scholarship gave to me, as is every other student affected by the generosity of those in the Brewster community."
